My Yonkers Story
Riding on the seven looking out the window
It was June so the sun shined through the window
Admiring Yonkers on this great day
I said to myself Shit I made it all the way
Then I got off the bus
Turned right ended up on Walnut
It got late as I walked down the street
My black Nike's real comfy on my feet
So I kept going never looked back
With no wallet no phone or no Fucking snacks
Just a black duffle bag and my laptop
I'm on a mission couldn't let it come to a stop
I passed Doyle on the left going up the block
It's a park down the street from D-Block
Getting closer as I move with persistence
I can smell some weed coming from a distance
I said I wondered who's smoking that
It smells nice and it's probably coming from the back
I got curious so I had to check
That's when I saw Snype chillin like a Vet
I spoke up and I told him who I am
I felt great about the way the way that I am
Then he passed me the blunt with Respect
Because I asked him out of Respect
After that I saw a truck pulling up
It was Sheek so I went to say what up
Cuse on my blue sweats as I walked up
My shirt said Don't Hassle Me I'm Local
I saw Sheek and I smiled as we dapped up
I knew his energy was strong and noble
I thought to myself shit this is Sheek Louch
He's a wise man just like Styles too
Our conversation was smart and wise too
After that I knew my journey was wise too
I turned around and I took a right on Saw Mill River Road
It was night but I knew I had to find
A place to go because I left my wallet
On a greyhound back where it all started
Right in New Rochelle before I got to Yonkers
Once I made it there knew I had to stay longer
So forgot my phone on the next block
But my mind was so focused on D-block
I didn't care I lost my phone I just had to go
I had to show them that I'm not your average joe
So I turned around and I went back
Laid my duffle bag down and I took a nap
Right in front of D-block so I didn't care
I napped peacefully and almost shed a tear
I woke up and stayed focused on the mission
With determination and creative vision
I walked back towards the park in the early morning
Smelt the weed in the air so I kept exploring
I had a wrap in my pocket when I walked up
I saw these guys they were cool so we sparked up
I met a guy named Goat he gave me four dollars
I didn't have to rob just to get four dollars
I thanked him and I got a drink from the store
Then I met Kiss and built more rapport
It was June so the sun shined through the window
Admiring Yonkers on this great day
I said to myself Shit I made it all the way
