First Born Blessing
Entitled
To a stronger future
A conqueror was born
Decided by mere seconds
Preceded by a failed attempt
Feeble hand grasping at a slippery heel
To be dragged back into the womb
The future of a life decided by a simple mistake at birth
Having skin torn from flesh
He conquered once more
Nails dig down the ankle
A brothers calls for power
Casted out into servitude
A weakling spawn was born
Earning his mother's favor
Was nothing compared to having
A fraction of time
To Save the future that was forged when he was born
Forged their future
Being granted the first-born blessing
How human needs turn the tides
Afflicted by famine
A desperate stretch for survival
An unwise bargain took place
As birthright was given away
For a mere red-filled meal
Age was proven wrong
As the legitimate ruler turned out to be
The one who fought for leadership
Against the unfairness nature
Of their birth
I turned the tides of faith
Using the skin of a lamb
I made him think that I was what he loved the most
Making him hand me everything he owned
I fooled my brother one last time
Don't blame me for running away
I had no options
Than to wait
Than to run
Until his anger settled
But I did promise to one day come back to my beloved mother
Waiting for things to settle
But when I came back
Esau jumped to my throat
Meeting me with the tip of his sword
Taking back what was stolen from him
Ending the life of his brother
To a stronger future
A conqueror was born
Decided by mere seconds
Preceded by a failed attempt
Feeble hand grasping at a slippery heel
To be dragged back into the womb
The future of a life decided by a simple mistake at birth
