The Price of Freedom

I still bow my head and pray
And I thank the Lord for the day that He made
I still believe in mom and dad
I know the good ol' days they just can't last

I never thought I would see the day
When they would fight so hard to take my freedom away
But now the time is come
Yeah today is the day

So let me ask you now my friend
Are you going to stand up or just let them win
Do you believe everything they say
Or are you going to live the American way

I know that freedom don't come free
I respect our laws and the authorities
And my flag still flying high
Ain't got no reason to apologize
I stand up for the red, white, and blue
And to my home I'll always be true
I'll never fall down on my knees
Until Judgement day when He judges me
The time has come to take a stand
For the preservation of the promised land

You know the more things change the less they stay the same
To tell the truth we ourselves to blame
How can you call this a better world
When they don't even know if they're a boy or girl

You say it's my right like I have a choice
But at the same time you try to silence my voice
So many people have fought and died
So I could speak my piece
What, you think I will hide

I know that freedom don't come free
I respect our laws and the authorities
And my flag's still flying high
Ain't got no reason to apologize
I stand up for the red, white, and blue
And to my home I'll always be true
I'll never fall down on my knees
Until Judgement day when He judges me
The time has come to take a stand
For the preservation of the promised land
