Spacious Place

The path is rough and the mountain high
Her body is so weak
So she opens up the Bible
And reads from Psalm 18

The words of hope and rescue
Bring a warm smile to her face
She pulls out a brand new canvas
And begins to slowly paint

A spacious place
Where the plains are lush and green
A resting place
Where her soul can finally sing
Fields of grace, wider than she's ever seen
With the path lit up in light of the Shepherd's face
She's walking toward a spacious place

The road is steep and the journey long
There were times when she fell down
But the man she loved was with her
And he helped her off the ground
When he fell down, she was right there too
Hand in hand they journeyed on
The picture that she'd painted
It soon became their song
