A Poem With Rhythm (Interlude)

One two, one two
Check check
A poem with rhythm written for you
A moment of clarity's such a rarity, it's true
Opposing views a heresy conquering similarities
I view your time as charity, cherish you as a muse
No deception, profess this isn't a ruse
Words true, I confess often more I been misconstrued
This world is set to crumble, it's destined for destitute
Till the minute that it ends wanna spend each second with you
That might've, fell on deaf ears
I know how many times you probably heard that narrative
Listen close, baby please, every word's imperative
I put my pride aside for any time you'd spare or give, so

For the choir, here's another sermon
A nigga's favorite line is he ain't wanna see you hurting
A nigga's favorite line is he been battling with demons
A nigga's favorite line is that you know that he ain't mean it
But does that nigga know you love him so for many reasons
And if you'd let him go, his heart is cold for many seasons
You got a heart of gold so malleable when you mistreat it
You only ask for him to show emotions when you need it so
Here it goes
I can't see it coming down my eyes
As my pen bleeds through on this sheet my soul weeps
Thinking how you left my heart in the streets, soles of my feet
Recollecting all the damages done at the hands of me
Can I save you now from drowning, a pillow filled with a sea
Of all your tears from many years you accompanied misery
Sorrow's in the air tonight playing lullabies as we sleep
Trust you wouldn't do the same if you had a hand at my seat
All my loves still for you
The day we see a end is what this world is coming to
A poem with rhythm written for you
