Babies and Diapers

Hey! How ya doin'? I'm here to give you a brief synopsis
Of my life at this point
How I got here and what I'm mostly preoccupied with now
So, sit back and... enjoy!

I met my girlfriend, now wife, when I was the lead singer in a band
We went out for a good while and, in about a year
Things had really advanced, as far as love goes
We were just chillin' one night when she looked at me and said

She said she loved me, and we should go start a family

It took me a little longer to throw out the "love" word
Because I took that commitment very serious
So, after five years (yes, five) I knew it was time
And I finally popped the question to her

I love you and you love me
Let's go start a family

Now my life is babies and diapers
Makin' babies and changing diapers
Now my life is babies and diapers

We had about two years of just enjoying us
Not counting the first five years
When the inevitable finally happened
We were pregnant!
Ok. She was pregnant, but I kinda had something to do with it
It was definitely an exciting time for us
So, our first child was born
And whew! Did we learn a lot!
Once our second child came along
We were pretty much old pros at this kind of thing

I still love her and she still loves me
And now we've started a family

And it's very cool, too
It's a lot of work but we've both turned out to be pretty good parents
