Tragedy Strikes

Lead to a village
Where the sun always shines
The village of katerna
Reads an awfully big sign

The tiny elephant
Leads our group in the front
All the village creatures were
The size of swine runts

Walking about
Doing ordinary tasks
A baby platypus in a well
Taking a bath

All the sudden
We round a corner and we
Get a shock in our spines
At the sight we do see

There in town square
Lays a mother of three
A purple hippo sobbing
Hysterically

She tries with all might
To drown herself in tears
As a feeling engulfed me
A feeling of fear

She screamed an evil toad
Had taken her kin
And eaten body and soul
To suffice him

I stood up and screamed
An outcry of pure rage
As I ran to town square
And I stood on the stage

I lifted the sword
I had packed in the morn
And I cried out a pact
That by which I had sworn

The townsfolk all gasped
And pointed to my blade
It was no longer plastic
No, no longer fake

They whispered of prophecies
Predicting the one
Who would come and save them
From the evil one

Edgar looked up
And he nodded his head
I knew all along
You're the one he said

A glint in my eye
As I furrowed my brow
I have to save this place
And I've gotta do it now

These people look up
With eyes watered with hope
The mother of three
Has run out and cannot cope

I sheathed my sword
In my bag and I swore
That this king Bellyjuice
Would be no more

The village all yelled
Lifted me up and cheered
Our hero has come
Our hero is here
