Bucephalus

From Pella ride
To desert sands
Blazing star
This steed of empire
Mount of war
The battle calls
For Macedonia and Alexander

The hidden god
At Siwa calls
This golden king to rule the world
Poseidon's own
This beast of war
To crush your foes beneath my hooves

I am Bucephalus
The great horse of antiquity
Silent brother to Alexander
Destined to rule by Zeus
Enduring symbol of his might
In the lands that we have conquered
Before us tired empires fall
Onto bended knees before us

I roam
Through Hades depths
In the dreams of smoke and fire
Phobos Deimos light my way and the battle is still my pleasure
I walk upon the bones of the crying ghosts I've slain
Hound the shade of poor Darius
As Achilles hounded Hector

Wearing down
At worlds end
Soldiers fall
From my hooves
Greening fields
In my past
The taste of blood is on my breath
Fading heart
Betrays me now
This river cross will be my doom
Beloved king
Remember me
From your throne in Babylon
