Halloween

Yesterday, my friend told me I might be bad for you
But I already knew you were bad for me
I'm the buffalo and you're the rhino
We face off every night like WWE
I depart every night to my destination
I cause a scene
Who knew that all these years later I'd be thinking about these things
Like how I miss my old dog, Stookey
The water stream belongs to the buffalo
Who resides along the east side of the hills, you see
The rhino must be away from it's pack for hunting
It's the unfamiliar feeling of another wild animal roaming the territory
Its not called a stomping ground for nothing
I miss my grandmother's tire swing
And how she would take my brother and I trick-or-treating
The simple act of always hiding
Never seeking

What makes these two creatures eyes gleam?
Is it natural instinct?
I don't believe in survival of the fittest
I believe the weak are in for a winning streak
You told me that you for exactly what we were doing,
But that I made an appearance in your dream last night
The rhino was there too
You woke up when he ran head first piercing your chest
I could feel night sweats
In mine, I was being eaten by a shark
But then I rode it's back like I was in some fantasy
It was my animal instinct
You asked about my costume when I showed up to the party
And I told you I was dressed as a wolf in sheep's clothing
You condescendingly told me that it fits perfectly
