Cherry Pickers

On the corner there's a man who sits
He's slouched on his phone and he's checking the internet
Misleading headlines glimmering from a small screen
He checks for as many crude nudes, shock tabloids and biased news
Anything his slimy hands can get and forget

It's love not hate
But only in the box they've made
And ain't it quaint
That those who say that they're open-minded
Sympathize with the evil minds
That have made their name off prejudice and lies
Well it's time for them to meet their fate

Twenty three years is much too long
To live a life convinced you're wrong
But damn if people don't say the darnedest things
Tell me again how I'm so unholy
As you write another check up for your alimony
Here comes hypocrisy again

It's love not hate
But only in the box they've made
And ain't it quaint
That those who say that they're open-minded
Sympathize with the evil minds
That have made their name off prejudice and lies
Well it's time for them to meet their fate

The hour is now and there's no one around
So y'all better gather around
It's time for you cherry pickers to get on your knees and pray
Well today's a special day
The apocalypse comes today
