Little Green Man

A little green man went to town
A winding path he started down
He tried to find it in his heart
A little green woman to bake him a tart

She'd trim his beard and cut his nails
And comb his hair, oh how he wails
"I want a woman by my side
But I'm not wanted" he wondered why
Please hold my hand
He cried and cried

Until he saw a ladies feet
In the swamp next to the peat
But I don't want a smelly one
So he carried on down the path till he was gone

He didn't know
That with that one he shared a soul
A lifetime of happiness down the drain
As he spoke his voice was strained

She'd trim my beard and cut my nails
And comb my hair, oh how I wail
"I want a woman by my side
But I'm not wanted" oh I wonder why
Please hold my hand
I cry and cry

A tiny red woman went to town
To buy a pink wedding gown
She tried to find it in her heart
A reason to love this guy from the start

She'd trim his beard and cut his nails
And comb his hair but how she wails
"I wan't a woman by my side
But I don't want him" she wondered why
"Please don't hold my hand"
She cried and cried

And on their wedding their day
She didn't know what to say
To never prepare your vows
A clear sign to him, she won't stick around

She had to flee
Found a woman next to the peat
They didn't mind the smell
Hand in hand and all was well

She'd play the harp and sing with glee
'I have a woman here with me
My heart it swells; by your side
'Oh you are wanted don't wonder why
Please hold my hand"
She cried and cried
