Stepping through the snow filled streets
Going through the gates and the memories
Going by the eyes, of the freaks and the priests
All these visions I'm gonna keep with me

I met a man he said was from the police
He asked me boy can I please have some of that grease
I looked at him as he went for his knees
I said maybe, I'll be back in a couple of weeks

Anywhere you go, they ask where you've been
If you don't look out, they'll be out for your skin
I wonder if they would ever needle the prince
They might as well, he's got no rights to begin

And here I walk, with my knowledge of nothing
Knowing not if I hear the truth or simply bluffing
No idea what kind of person I'm becoming
Or from what or who it is that I'm running

It's just that if you really want my blood
You could at least be polite but you're not
But at last I looked away and I just shrugged
There's something I remembered, but forgot

I'm coming here for my voluntary dose
Give it to me, my mandatory throat
I don't know if I even wanna know
If this will make me an involuntary ghost

I come out to the sound of a stroke
At least that's just one of many ways to go
You could die from laughing at this joke
You could go out to sea and abandon your boat

Everybody says all people must be free
But I don't think anything can ever be
Except within the framework of a dream
But even dreams are confined in reality

Some girl approached me in the night, she cried
She held a cup in her hand, tears in her eyes
I kept walking and something inside me died
I felt the rain coming down from the sky
