Silver Green

Listen for the engines pushing up the incline
They reach the door and cut the cord
Roll back down and push some more
The sky stays blue every night
No one ever comes around to save him from the light

Falling through the bottom floor calling but the waves don't reach him anymore
Passing underneath the beach plastic sand under his feet
Melting in the heat beneath the sky
Finally alone without anywhere to hide

Staring down a pair of eyes looking through the mirror from the other side
They watch him talking in his sleep diamond rising from his dreams
They're only gonna see what they want
Reaching from the silver-green pulling him apart
