Is It Warm Enough? (feat. Rutherford Franklin Beufert Bomount II & Gabe Dunn)
(Is it warm enough, is it warm enough, is it warm enough for you yet baby?)
(Every little argument you wish you could erase it
I wanna see your face on the day you see it's too late)
But, why are you interested in sustainability?
Well, I'm a natural resource conservation minor
Okay, why?
I don't, I just...
Could someone else answer the fucking question?
I don't know, well, I feel like this, so I've traveled the world my whole life
And I think that
I think that going, like, you really fucked it up
Wham!
Okay, okay, okay
I've traveled the world my whole life and I feel like in a certain way
And I don't want kids, but I think about if I ever had kids
Or my brother had kids, where I'm going to be, like, the best uncle in the world
Obviously
Like, I want my, I want the next generation who is related to me in some way
To see what I have seen
And I've seen some pretty fucking cool things in my life
And I just, I don't know, I just think there's a lot of
There's a lot of
A lot of what's going on now scares me with mass construction all around the world
And how some of these beautiful
The constant continuation of growth
Yeah, yes, exactly
And some of these beautiful cities are gonna have, or are projected to have
Like, I mean, like multiple billions, like 2 billion people in the next 10 years, 15 years
My thing that scares me the most in terms of growth
Is that we always have to have sustainable growth
And why do we have to have growth?
What's the whole point of that?
Where it's like we have to be able to have our economy always be getting better
Why is it not that stagnation isn't always considered a bad thing?
I don't get that at all, I mean
Obviously, it's because we're in a capitalist society and greed is always good
More money is always better
But what's the difference between 125 billion and 250 billion?
Like, at that point, you're just becoming your own kind of
You have that amount of wealth to the point where you have more
Than half the nations of the world
And then with that comes the destruction of the environment
(Every little argument you wish you could erase it
I wanna see your face on the day you see it's too late)
