You complain all day
About the powers that be
And how there's nothing left to hold onto
It's insane you say
How we allow society
To give us nothing we can hold onto

But how
How is that an excuse
To carry on like you do
And claim you need someone to hold onto

Are starting to define you

You need to be someone to hold onto

And you smile less now
Hell you never even smile at all
And that affects things more than it used to

And that'd be better than this nothing at all
