Good Times are Hard to Fake

I notice then another day another reason for me to hate this time of year
Realize how sad it is we're getting older
When we meet again we'll all be grayer

And good times are hard to fake when they look like that

Scramble for evidence of all the good times
No one remembers them, they're lost in our minds
Feelings that we should hide are in the open
Evening should come around, I should be going

There's certain things I've learned to take
They don't break my back

Something to pass the time but under cover
Something in common though now with the others
Everything just where I left burned into my mind
Now as a family
