Knot

Upon the ridge where we have sweetly sat
Where we have sweetly sat, there moved a rock
A stone, a hedge, a river crossed, a turn
A tumult placed. My hands, which crossed across
Your face, and life by thinking sorrows not
I clamber around the maple tree's knot
Lay my head upon the knoll, never rots

Upon making a round, a round makes me
I've smelt, or smelled, the scent, dry wood burning
Wood burning mixed with cold snow, and wet slush
Which bounces off of a boot as it walks
Upon the fortress, upon the rock fall
Where we have said something, yes something sweet
We're together, aren't we? Saying something sweet

By drawing a round, by drawing a round
By drawing off of walls, you have seen me
And took hold of my face, "The walls you draw
Destroy us both". Perchance, I know you could
You were, you are, right, and now I know it
Perchance we rest and to wander elsewhere
I listened to you speak upon the ridge
