God's Mercy Will Last Always

God's... mercy... will last... always...

God's... He's so good, come whatever
Mercy... He won't leave me, no, never
Will last... His mercy lasts forever
Always... and always

I was an evil person, I may have been the worst one
At times I think my Mama was ashamed to call me her son
I couldn't blame my Mama, 'cause I was full of drama
See I would always erupt and I was hotter than lava
And I would always manage to put folks in a bandage
'Cause I was into causin' people great bodily damage
It wasn't just a little, see I was so pitiful
I was in the business of puttin' folk in the hospital
See I would always wild out, needin' to wash my mouth out
With soap from the profanity, because I had a foul mouth
But that's to be expected, but I should be arrested
When I consider all of the women that I had sex with
And that is just a smidgen, a very brief description
'Cause all the dirt I did is way too much for me to mention
Don't think that I am tryin' to do no glorifyin'
Of all the junk I use to do, see I am merely sightin'
His mercy I am highlightin'...

God's... mercy... will last... always...
God's... He's so good, come whatever
Mercy... He won't leave me, no, never
Will last... His mercy lasts forever
Always... and always

Now I can talk about the evil past for hours
But I know many people were way more sinful than I was
But don't you be misguided, let it also be sighted
That plenty people didn't do half of the junk that I did
See if you practice voodoo, or you a goody two-shoe
To God we all are sinners and it don't matter what you do
So you can be a bomber, or someone who is calmer
Without Jesus, you on the same level as Jeffrey Dahmer
We all need His deliverance, in every single instance
Ain't no level in sin and sin is sin, don't make a difference
It ain't no category, according to the Lord, we
All have sinned and everybody has come short of His glory
To make the matter be worse, it clearly states in The Word
In Romans six and twenty-three that death is what we deserve
But I am truly thankful, that God ain't bein' hateful
But we got life eternal, though we don't deserve the grace
So I am eternally grateful...

God's... mercy... will last... always...
God's... He's so good, come whatever
Mercy... He won't leave me, no, never
Will last... His mercy lasts forever
Always... and always

We didn't even earn no relief from the infernal
So certainly we didn't earn a trip to life eternal
But what we got exceeded bein' mercifully treated
We're blessed and victorious only because of what He did
That's why I give Him glory, here let me tell the story
The punishment that I deserved, He gladly took it for me
'Cause in our places He died, and rose to be at the right
Hand of the Father, that's why in Heaven we get a free ride
Now this is what's killin' me, see we were His enemy
And half of us wouldn't die for someone who's a friend to me
I mean can you imagine dyin' for one who spat in
Your face and always betray you and hate you with a passion
But Jesus really loves us, He showed mercy upon us
He let the sun rise on the just and even on the unjust
And He is still extendin' mercy if I be sinnin'
And I'm forever grateful, that's why for Him, I am livin',
I'm so glad to be forgiven...

God's... mercy... will last... always...
God's... He's so good, come whatever
Mercy... He won't leave me, no, never
Will last... His mercy lasts forever
Always... and always

He's so good, come whatever
He won't leave me, no never
His mercy lasts forever
And always

God's... He's so good, come whatever
Mercy... He won't leave me, no, never
Will last... His mercy lasts forever
Always... and always
God's... He's so good, come whatever
Mercy... He won't leave me, no, never
Will last... His mercy lasts forever
Always... and always

God's... mercy... will last... always
