Rodeo Town

She met him on the front steps before he could come in
Before he could come and love on her and leave again
She was sad but resolute convicted in her truth
Sure as the sun sets to rise a cowboys gonna ride
It didn't last a minute he never tried to kiss her
Never tried to touch her face or bend her ear
He just climbed in his truck she felt it when he looked up
But it was gone as fast as he said adios my dear

That nags him on and tells him still to try
