Set Apart

We were brought on this earth for a reason
Not for ourselves but for the world
For we are in the world
But not of the world
We were made to be set apart

Yuh, I'm planted on this earth for a reason
For a temporary season

I'm applying for an occupation, that requires dedication
No, I'm not a yes man but for Christ I told em

I'm just a Christian on a mission
Gotta do what I was called to do
Get up and make disciples amongst all nations
Yeshua Jehovah Jireh
The King of Kings who reigns above every name and -
He's the one who died and rose again
Though it should've been me up on the cross
Instead He took my place
For me to live is Christ and to die is gain
I wanna be with him till eternity
Put ya hands to the sky and declare his name
JESUS
He's the one and only that can really
Free us
When the world's against me
He's the one that's with me
There is no I in team
He's all that I need and He's really my twin
I wanna walk like, talk like and think like him
I wanna love like, care like and give like him
So when you see me in person you see a reflection of Him
And she will not prevail cuz the Holy Ghost is living within

And if you claim to be a born again Christian
You gotta be dead to sin then
Cuz if you stuck loving on the sin he took you out of,
Compared to them, then what makes you different?
And I'm not talking bout our personal convictions
Sure we fall short and make mistakes
No trust me, I get it
It got you fighting off the flesh
Heart is beating out your chest
That's the Holy Spirit movin'
Just stop and listen
Cuz when it comes to temptation
You gotta let that little voice know
"Devil you's a lie, man you gotta go"
I don't know bout you but baby I don't compromise
You can't just pick and choose on what is wrong or right to your liking
I'm just speaking on what's true
You ain't gotta like me
John 15:18-19 states
"If the world hates you, be aware that it hated me too
cause if you belong to the world then it would love you as its own"
But keep my commandments and stand firm
Not only in the word but remain in me and I in you
Your riches and treasury will await for you at home
"Well done my good and faithful servant"
Yeah, that's all I wanna hear
"Depart from me, I know you not"
Would be my greatest fear

I'm no actress but I took the role and played my part
My God doesn't leave voicemails so I answered the call
Denying all my ways and all my thoughts
I chose to pick up the cross
Tied my shoes and starting walking the walk
I chose to live this life, I surrender it all
Christianity isn't for the weak
It's why I persevere and stay strong
They lovin how I made it through
I told em "by the grace of God"
He's the only reason how I'm hangin on
I am the vine and He is the branches
Bearing much fruit, you should see my garden
All the seeds I've planted, you should see em blossom
It's not the garden of Eden, but of obedience I fed the fam and now they eating it
