Facing the World

It is the love that you give to the world
That defines the life you are living
It gets harder to maintain when the balance gets lost
Between receiving and giving

I'm overwhelmed when I'm facing the world
Though I don't ow it for, who I am or who I want to be
My birth, my death, my life in between
Only nature can claim me

Change has come to everyday life
Ill judgment, collides and divides
Making plans when time is overdue
Having dreams you know won't come true

I can't remember when
I felt so lost like this
I don't remember
The last time I felt happy
I don't recall myself
Ever being so lonely

Most of the good things created in life
Are conceived when we are open minded
When we're deprived of our freedom and time
And left preoccupied and blinded
It gets hard to work out an idea
Noise grows from irrelevant to my biggest limitation
It obscures my thoughts and when the threshold is passed
Frustrates me out of creation

There is no stopping this no where to hide
The shifting balance that flows like the tide
The brightest minds go dark or retire
No longer support the ideals I admire

I can't remember when
I felt so lost like this
I don't remember
The last time I felt happy
I don't recall myself
Ever being so lonely
