Just 'cause I don't act in accordance to my own words
It doesn't mean that I'm a hypocrite
But yeah, I'm a hypocrite

And truth be told, I'd rather give myself away
But honesty is hard to come around these days

Either that or I'm not looking
I just know I'm not a great example
But I try my best, It's not enough
Either that or I am giving up

Give up, give up, you're down on your luck

Yeah, I'm all out of breath from shouting at friends
Flustering arguments making me stressed
King of the hill, but I'm losing the match
Calling the shots that I aim at myself

Give up, surrender to the longing arms of indifference
Give up, surrender, but wait too long and the moment will slip away

Swing and miss with the shots 'till they finally hit
But my failing attempts are the means to an end
And the tricks of the trade is what gives me away
When the cycle repeats, I'll admit my defeat

Now, I'm still chasing after that weakening glow
And wherever the path leads, I go
But oblivious to the aftermath in the wake of my romeopath
