Just A Thought
Struggled as a kid, when I was young, we didn't come from a lot
Had to focus on my family, I had to do what was taught
When I didn't ever win, had to bounce back from a loss
When I could never talk about my feelings, I would go and shut the box
Always had to hustle day and night no matter what the cost
I used to take losses, so I had to go adjust a lot
Tried to give people advice, but they didn't care what I thought
Don't know if I can make it, yeah I can, that was just a thought
You better not mess with me because I have these mood swings
Don't know what to expect, I don't know what all these moods bring
It could be whatever, don't try to play me, don't try to move me
I warned you, don't get close to me, I don't care what these dudes think
I made it out the dark, it made it out the deep depths
Before you do anything, better back up like three steps
I don't need to introduce myself, better hope that we met
Flexing on someone who's doing better than you, that's a week flex
I don't be trusting anybody, I am not one to be smiled at
I'm gonna keep chasing my dreams, I could run five hundred mile laps
I be dripping when I walk, you know that I'm gonna style that
This a Duck Duck Goose game, imma pick somebody imma whack
Struggled as a kid, when I was young, we didn't come from a lot
Had to focus on my family, I had to do what was taught
When I didn't ever win, had to bounce back from a loss
When I could never talk about my feelings, I would go and shut the box
Always had to hustle day and night no matter what the cost
I used to take losses, so I had to go adjust a lot
Tried to give people advice, but they didn't care what I thought
Don't know if I can make it, yeah I can, that was just a thought
They sleeping on me, I hope the alarm wake them up
They talking all that, someone need to go and shake them up
They are not like me, they so trash, I would hate to suck
They wan' be like me, but they bad, they all wait for luck
I was always there for people, but they ain't look out for me
They hate now, but when I'm up, they ain't gonna get no clout from me
When I was at my lowest, everybody would look down on me
But imma be the king, and they ain't gonna get a crown from me
When I wanted to be big, they said I wasn't old enough
But I got the money now and everyone be folding up
I'm just chasing my dreams, not heartbreak, I'm too old for love
They be hating me now, but when I'm up, they gon' owe me love
Struggled as a kid, when I was young, we didn't come from a lot
Had to focus on my family, I had to do what was taught
When I didn't ever win, had to bounce back from a loss
When I could never talk about my feelings, I would go and shut the box
