Make Things Better
I wrote this for us
We earth explorers
Doing all that we can to
Not let them destroy us
To maintain my equilibrium
I be on that premium
High octane hollow points
For the mind
To keep the physical and
Mental aligned
Armor for those of us
Living behind enemy lines
Engine engine number nine
Good or bad
Love or hate
Why's it so hard for
Some to decide
I knew early on in life that they lied
Creating our present
Cultural and racial divide
Love doesn't pick sides
Question answered
We hold the cure for
This cancer within
If you're not true
Please don't pretend
No room for fake friends
I always write
I don't always send
I hope I live long enough to
See hate come to an end
Odds stacked against me since
I got to earth
Daily I practice lifted research
At forty nine
I had a rebirth
Determined to perpetuate the
Constant evolution of these words
Let's make things better
Before they get worse
I'm trying to be a breath of
Fresh air in this game
Refreshing as some
Cucumber watermelon lemonade
When its ninety eight
Degrees in the shade
Soul not for sale or trade
We are so lost sometimes it's
Like idiots on parade
We should be ashamed
Trying our best to change
Instead most get a little taste of
Fame and stay the same
All I can do is laugh out loud
While shakin my head
Yelling what the fuck
At the universe
I be acting like it doesn't
But down deep it really hurts
We earth explorers
Doing all that we can to
Not let them destroy us
To maintain my equilibrium
I be on that premium
High octane hollow points
For the mind
To keep the physical and
Mental aligned
Armor for those of us
Living behind enemy lines
Engine engine number nine
