Playground Rules

There are times I remember as a child on a sunny day
When the only question when we met was Do you want to play
Our differences never meant a thing we ran then rested on a swing

Our playground has grown and we forgot all we learned
Live in joy with each other share respect that we've earned
We cared for our elders they'd lived through it all
Their wisdom was a friend to us ----when we'd fall
Standing up again and again is a means to an end
Life is hard but easier when it's shared with your friends

We talked about the things saw the things we like to do
No matter if we liked the same learning more of me and you
Our cultures may be different at times seem quite odd
Each one of us has value and honor in the eyes of God

Our playground has grown and we forgot all we learned
Live in joy with each other share respect that we've earned
We cared for our elders they'd lived through it all
Their wisdom was a friend to us ----when we'd fall
Standing up again and again is a means to an end
Life is hard but easier when it's shared with your friends

Help your neighbors understand we are all society's seeds
The virtues we possess are measures by our deeds
Working hard and sacrifice---------------- gets us all we need
Peace, love, community shared ---- are the virtues that we keep

Our playground has grown and we forgot all we learned
Live in joy with each other share respect that we've earned
We cared for our elders they'd lived through it all
Their wisdom was a friend to us ----when we'd fall
Standing up again and again is a means to an end
Life is hard but easier when it's shared with your friends

We are all people of value that's a great place to start
One by one we can help the world putting freedom in our hearts
Equality is eternal------- not a law we pass today
If we remember our playground rules and ask
Do you want to play
