Time Flies

Not the narrative you want
I Grew up in good household
So no use in putting up a front
Lyin' bout where you come from is getting old
I was born in circle city
Nap town where I'm from
Lived there about five years then my dad took a job in the 501
After year six came my lil bro
Six years difference in age
'Cause of that grew apart just a lil bit
But now we back on the same page
After living in Little Rock my fam moved away and we went to KC
816 in the building
Great barbecue and the KC chiefs
I really loved my time there
I had a lotta great friends
That's where I think I grew up and shortly after that I turned into a man
Started off high school with another move
To the 334
It's been like eight years now
But honestly it still feels like four time flies
I guess it's because time flies... time flies
Man I guess it's because time flies... time flies

Blessed to have a dad in the picture
Yeah he really loved me a lot
Taught me how to work real hard
And showed me how he worked for everything that he got
And can't forget my moms
No one loved me like she did
She always made sure I had everything I needed for anything that I went and did
Looking back at all
It wasn't easy as it sounds
But I'm grateful for it all
Shaped me to the man that I am right now
Since I got into college man everything in my whole life has changed
All the things God went and did man I don't even know how to try to explain
I found people that loved me
That would do anything for me
I wouldn't trade all the wild times that I had in past four years for nothing
I even met this girl
And she changed my life
Never thought that I would say this but I got on a knee and I made her my wife time flies
I guess it's because time flies... time flies
Man I guess it's because time flies... time flies
