Predator

I am a predator.
Look upon the dead,
My works as they litter the field.
Trails of fur and bones
Tremble still.
Do not dare to tread
On my hunting ground.

My eyes rule over
All that I can see.
My claws rule over
All my teeth can't kill.

Hunt, don't let it move,
Hunt, don't it breathe,
Don't let it hope.

They are my hallowed prey.
Fingers shake with dread,
Sinews tighten and it's soon over.
Jaws, they gently clutch,
And they squeeze.
River red, and light slowly fades away.

Hunt, don't it move,
Hunt, don't it breathe,
Don't let it hope.
Kill, run if you want,
Kill, fast as you can,
I love the game.
Kill, hide if you wish,
Kill, under the bed,
Deep in the dark.
Kill, hunter's delight,
Kill, killing divine,
Taking what's mine.

Pretender, I am the apex,
Enthroned in softest comfort,
Gilded bowls of offerings
Are all that keep you from my ire.
Bring me gifts of victims
In exotic hues and shapes,
And I will deign to give you access
To the warmth of my embrace.
Stroke my fur and worry not
Of what I do at night,
Don't bother rescuing a single soul,
It's useless now because
