The One Who Turns the Sands of Time

Truly I tell you
I saw the face of a great physician
And he said unto me, "Behold!
Behold the world beneath us and see that it is sick!
Behold the disease that corrupts the hearts of men!"

And I said to the great physician
"What is this terrible affliction that plagues our hearts?"

And he said unto me, "Truly
It is free will. It is free thought
And it plagues the heart of every soul on this earth"

I fell to my knees before him and pleaded, begged
"Oh, Great Physician! Rid my heart of this disease!
Remake me in your image so that I might be accepted at your side!"

He placed his hand upon my head and he commanded me
"Go out and make slaves of all nations
Bring them to their knees in my name
Let them feel fear and know that I am the cure
I am their salvation
And all who oppose me shall oppose the new truth!"

And I said, "Amen!"
I said amen!
And I said hallelujah!
Praise be his name!

For we have no use for the old God
For we have a new god
The executive, the legislative, the judicial
This is our new Trinity
The news is our new holy scripture
The word of God

And so, we must forsake our desires of this world
We must only consume
We must forsake our possessions and only have
And we must prostrate ourselves before our new God

And we will commit great atrocities in the name of our new God
And they will love him

For our new God has a name, indeed he does
And our new God's name is
