Death

Snow white falls covers the world
The wilted black petals of flowers
Fall to the earth as dust
The bite of the freeze, too much
Everything good and everything bright
Is buried away by the cold winter night
Everything sweet and everything nice
Is buried away by this horrible blight
Bury our heads, we cry for the day
We call for the sun, but the sun hides away
Our frozen tears stick to our face
The chill of this death will take what it takes
Greedy small hands, frozen in place
Filled with their dreams, broken, ashamed
And as the snow covers up their disgrace
All is white, empty cold space

Come, death
Like a wad of dead flowers
They dream
They call forth, devour
Come, death
Like a snow white dream
They dream
In their hearts they scream
Come, death
They know the tune
They dream
Even from the womb
Come, death
In their hearts they dream
They scream
For the end, the end of all things
