Vice (Single)

4 brain cells hanging on for dear life
Counter crossed eyes zoned out in the blue light
This low effort life results in a fight
To keep out the side with the consequential vice
But it's harder than it looks when addiction is a knife
And you need a little slice to hold on to life
And the only punishment for digging too deep
Is an overwhelming rush of pure dopamine

One month or 10 years go by
But you can't really tell if you can't see the sky
And you can't see the sky if your eyes are fixed
On a flashing white light, dear god don't eclipse
When the light goes out and the nerves come in
And it gets real shaky and scary and dim
And the only thing keeping you half way sane
Is an overwhelming rush of pure dopamine

Plaque caked brain pill killers of pain
And a brain dead spaz regret all he has
Keeps mumbling memories under his breath
But the thoughts aren't his, he never really lived
But it doesn't really matter it's all relative
And the end is nigh and his mind is fried
And his last thought as he drifts off to die
"Never really alive unless I'm online"
