Local Man Loses Pants, Life

Such enmity, over a blip on your radar
World can't stop me, but you can bet I've got the scars
The difference between you and me is that
You never got happy, you got used to being sad

Now I've not got anywhere to be
I think I've seen all that I need to see

Won't lie, can't say I'd have done the same
Held back by what you never overcame
My attention span decayed and sank and I sat there and grinned
I'm knocking at the door but there's no-one to let me in

Lost cause before I ever received the news
Settled the score, but I didn't get to choose
Where my life leads, is it wrong for me to say?
Speak up for once, and I'll shut my mouth one day

Now I've not got anywhere to be
I think I've seen all that I need to see

Won't lie, can't say I'd have done the same
Held back by what you never overcame
My attention span decayed and sank and I sat there and grinned
I'm knocking at the door but there's no-one to let me in

I managed to condense everything I own
down into a surprisingly small space
actually I found it kind of funny when I looked around and realised
that what little there was to salvage
managed to fit easily into my tiny old hatchback
which, when I think about it, is a pretty good metaphor
that I'll get round to explaining some other time
but right now, I've got a car full of thoughts to unload
so if you don't mind?

Won't lie, can't say I'd have done the same
Held back by what you never overcame
My attention span decayed and sank and I sat there and grinned
I'm knocking at the door but there's no-one to let me in
