Long Drive

Tryina find a way to unpack it all
Living a lot of life lately and I been too involved
Lost someone I love and I ain't talking death
But it's hard to kill your ego
Some people are evil
Drives on the road not fast like Knievel
I gotta slow it down to be careful for all the people
That's caught up in the moment
Not looking both ways
And I ain't tryina play hero
That's not on my list
I tend to think the deeper thoughts like why do we exist
With everybody telling me that I should go reenlist
Mentally I'm checking out it's like a moment of bliss
But I got bigger plans
I'm bout to sell the house and probably make a hundred grand
And if you really know me then you know it was the plan
I'm tryina tell it all in a way you understand
A message in a bottle floating in the deepest water is about to hit the land like

It's crazy when you know you're in your bag
It's like your in a fight and every punch you throw you land
My melanin is gold and you can try to get a tan
To emulate the glow but you can never be the man
I swear to God I close my eyes I feel the sand like in Sudan
I meditate to find a place where I can architect a land to bring the fam inside a dream
Something I created going through insanity
With imagination running it was deep inside of me it's crazy
Thought that you can think when on the road and drivin
What is the sound of silence
Or better yet why are we soo defiant
We can stand United but we're always soo divided
Resulting in over violence
Yeah
A lot of thoughts but I don't know what to think
I used to go and hit a bar just to pick up a drink
Now a days I settle down and pour the cup down to sink
To focus on the better things I pick the pen up and ink
Hop in the car and hit the town you could be gone in a blink
Made up my mind get up and grind you either swim or you sink
Turn off the car look at the stars
And watch reality blink
