Once Upon a Hit & Run

Once Upon a time, I went downtown,
Ordered some drinks, alone and I,
Saw a lady dressed in white, she walked over and said
Hey there baby, I kinda think I know you,
And I noticed you're, all alone tonight
Yeah, you're all alone tonight
And what happened next was

We drank until our lungs, were drenched in alcohol
Let's go to place, where we can drink some more, so let's go

So we took my car, and we drove from the bar
And I noticed her white dress had turned red, crimson red, she said

You should drive more carefully at night,
Don't you remember what happened the last time?
You had crushed me bloody that night,
Then you drove away in panic of your crime

Do you remember?

When I awoke, I was already back home
Was it a dream? Or fantasy?
Or Her spirit came back to haunt me?

Many years have passed since that incident,
I've not been drinking for a while,
No charges have been filed
Nobody found the culprit of the crime,
Where a woman was killed in a hit and run,
Once upon a time

So we took my car, and we drove very far
I notice her white dress had turned red, crimson red
