Jasper's Dream
As Jasper walked along the road he thought he was alone
When there appeared a burning rock that held a ringing phone
It could be an emergency so Jasper said hello
The voice said I'm the devil and it's time to take you home
It's a long long way through past that got you here
It's a long time since you've been on your own
It's time to take a trip now to the place where you were born
It just seems so far away
After thinking I'm not here I know this is a dream
Jasper felt a gentle hand and heard a quiet scream
As Jasper turned around he saw a girl in a shear white dress
Don't talk to strangers on this road she said or you'll be dead
It's a long long way through the past that got you here
It's a long time since you've been on your own
It's time to take a trip now to the place where you were born
It just seems so far away
So she took his hand into no man's land and said start waking up
I can't leave you here you would disappear and no one would remember all your love and charm you can do no harm so let's start waking up
It's time to have a good life my dear
For so many years I've been waiting here and she said I'd given up
And her eyes were bright and she was crying like an angel breaking through the clouds
She was standing there with her golden hair and she said start looking up
It's time to have a good life my dear
We'll they didn't go far 'til they found a car and she said let's start her up
It's a bumpy ride there's no place to hide so try to take it easy you can have your
You can eat it too but just don't eat too much
It's time to have a good life my dear
Then they drove away under birds of prey as the sun was coming up
They were side by side for the long joyride and drove out of this world to get lost in time
No more petty crimes and he said I've woken up
It's time to have a good life my dear
When there appeared a burning rock that held a ringing phone
It could be an emergency so Jasper said hello
