All Forgotten

I will be perfectly clear
I must be going away to ring in the new year
The weather's starting to cool down
As am I to the idea
I'm not running away
I just need a quiet place to stay
And be alone with my thoughts
And the magic of today

And let's not forget who we are working for
And not regret what we have done before

The marvellous wonder of it all
Has time slowly slipping into illusion
The crushing weight of it, so small
Has got me spinning in confusion
So many plans and little time for resolution
It must've all been a dream, otherwise
How else could it all have been forgotten?

At this time everyone goes a little crazy
I don't get why, maybe it's that I'm lazy
Or that I feel I don't have much to give
And nothing to buy it with
I wish that these decisions
Had a return warranty
But I've learned that the greatest gift you can give
Is your company

And let's not forget what we are working for
And not regret what we have done before

The marvellous wonder of it all
Has time slowly slipping into illusion
The crushing weight of it, so small
Has got me spinning in confusion
So many plans and little time for resolution
It must've all been a dream, otherwise
How else could it all have been forgotten?
