Typical Silence

It was all coming up roses
Fell asleep on time for the first time in my life
This chapter finally closes
The smile on my face finally justified

Typical silence

That's when I screamed out Christ Almighty
Meant in all it's blasphemy
Singing psalms, carrying crosses
Never meant peace be with me

The darkness returned and it started to follow me
Asking for help and forgiveness is not for me
Opened my heart and it was quite the sight to see
Justified smile was erased oh so easily
Knelt to the God that I swore I could always see
Trying my best to avoid his hypocrisy
Knelt for a moment and stood up immediately
Hands in the air asking have you forsaken me

Typical silence

That's when I screamed out Christ Almighty
Meant in all it's blasphemy
Singing psalms, carrying crosses
Never meant peace be with me
