Corduroy

I lost my keys
But I found a spare in the back of my jeans
So I'm gonna wear 'em in
Or I'll tear 'em up and fall right back again
In love with the corduroy ones
That never fail to keep their touch

Size forty-two, yeah they'd fit a king
But the worn leather belt got 'em stuck to me
While I run freely away from danger
So much for a range in wardrobe
Pairs I never wear enough

Well don't mind me
I'm just getting air and enjoying the breeze
Winter isn't on my skin
'Cause this jacket I invested in is bliss
Now I'm dressed in corduroy from
My collar to my folded cuffs

8 Dollars flat on the cash machine
Since that day it is stuck to me
Now the sun is coming up later
Temperatures follow the sun
So soon I'll have to hang it up
