Among Beasts

Alone in my realm, observing wandering souls who ponder their non-existence
Six months passed and spring blossom was your prompt
Condemning me to monotony as you return to the above world
But among beasts I exist and among beasts I fail to live

I reminisce of our time down here, how you warmed to my cold nature
How I would pursue you above earth as you gather your flowers
But the festivities mark your departure, and leaves me with bated breath
Allow my fruit to seal your fate, because I can't wait for your vivacity in my vicinity
The nymphs weep by Cyane River and the force of nature refigured them in your name
Unaware that we had fled together
