Death of a Musician

My guitar rests in bed
Roses cover it's strap in red
I lay beside it and, I kinda like it

When I go to my grave
In a coffin built like my guitar case
There will be roses
Growing like a red fern
Oh the sky will light a flare
Roses will rise everywhere
And the birds will sing a melody, in honor
Of my guitar

At least my mic will stand again
In a museum, full of instruments
Surrounded by everything and I know
I know you'll like it

When I go to my grave
In a coffin built like my guitar case
There will be roses
Growing like a red fern
Oh the sky will light a flare
Roses will rise everywhere
And the birds will sing a melody, In honor
Of my guitar
