entomophobia (The Bug Song)

Parasites are eating at my brain
Inchworms are floating inside my veins
Don't know which one will erode first
But can you sit with me at least until my lungs burst?

You don't have to say anything at all
Your presence is enough to make me feel calm
Spiders are crawling inside my ears
Thank you for always being here

Moths are floating inside my gut
Intestines taken over by maggots
I'd be quickly decaying if not for you
You're the one I fall into

But don't be scared to tell me
When you're feeling bad
You're my distraction
From the insects inside my head
Let me know what's on your mind, all the time
Even if it's the bugs like in mine

The inchworms are seeping out of my wounds
It's the only way to let them out
I starve the moths so they'll be gone soon
But the parasites stay here and pout

Frogs jump around my throat
Made me scared when I spoke
So i stopped doing that a while ago
It feels good to be in control

Another bee flies out of my nose
I take a tissue and blow
It fills with pollen and honey
I'm sorry I rely on you to breathe

But don't be scared to tell me
When you're feeling bad
You're my distraction
From the insects inside my head
Let me know what's on your mind, all the time
Even if it's the bugs like in mine

Especially if it's the bugs like in mine
