Extraterritoriality, It's a funny thing to say
When you need to commit a deed, it's an easy technique to get away
Extraterritoriality, it's a law that I abuse
When you try to deceive and lie, It's the one for you to use

First, you'll have to understand the rules
There are conditions that apply
It works if you're a Canadian
And not just some random foreign guy
Due to Shanghai's instability
There are loopholes in the law
Loopholes help to escape the grasp
Of the legal system's claw

Okay, let's say you are a foreigner, you're caught with lots of drugs
The Chinese cops can't treat you like they treat the other thugs
But why is that the rule? Well, it has to do with courts
Negotiated by the Brits, a privilege of sorts
Penalty's determined by the court of your own nation
Upon which they will judge you, express their accusation
So basically the Chinese cops must give the right of way
But Canada is special, that's why I can get away...

Extraterritoriality, it's the way it's always been
It's just something I can't control, and at this point, I don't think it's a sin
Extraterritoriality, it allows me to be free
When I'm stuck, or I'm out of luck it always works out fine for me
