Facebook

I was just on facebook, scrolling through my timeline
I should have known, I would get pissed off

'Cause I saw a picture, misquoting scripture
And claiming all evil, was Obama's fault

So I stayed up to late, in an online debate
Over pointless political views

Well I guess that's how it goes
When your grandparents share a post
On Facebook

Money's getting tighter, wallet's looking lighter
So I'm back to the basics of food and rent

But nobody gets me, like Zuckerberg's marketing
Vying for every dollar I spend

'Cause there's so many things
I swear that I need, but will probably never be used

Well I guess that's how it is
When I fall for advertisements
On Facebook
Facebook

Why is it never enough?
I should just give it up
Always more hate than love
Why can't I just log off?

Well maybe it's not all bad, I can stay in contact
With people I haven't seen in years
And sure we might be different, but I'm learning how to listen
To other opinions than I usually hear

'Cause maybe the folks that I differ from most
Aren't really so bad after all...

Well I guess that's all I want
Some friends and some food for thought
(Hmm)
On facebook
Facebook
On facebook
Facebook
