Wisteria

Coming back to see
The greenest grass surrounding me
Pressed beneath my feet
I feel all that will never be
It's not my time yet
Waiting faithfully

Tear stains on hardwoods
Make a good point to mark the pain
They will fade away
Wisteria doesn't grow in vain
It's not it's time yet
Waiting patiently

Among the darkest night
I'm grateful for my life
I'm grateful for the time

It makes me sad to see
That all of these words sound foreign to me
The words I wrote myself
Feel written by someone else
But it's not their time here
I feel it now

Among the darkest night
I'm grateful for my life
I'm grateful for the time
I will plant the seed
It'll grow all over me
Wisteria, it's time
Wisteria, it's time

I'll lay under the tree
Grow all over
Grow over me

I then drove home from there
Placing the day upon my shelf
Crawling into bed
I know I've found peace within myself
