When I See You

I wanted to write a song about
How I felt when I first saw you
How I feel whenever I see you
And all of the times in between

The sparks in my brain
And the fireworks that go off in my eyes
So, that's what I did
I wrote a song that would remind me of that first time

It was in Soho, London, rather than New York
And I saw you walking towards me on Great Windmill street
There were drops of rain
It was such a beautiful afternoon

You were wearing sunglasses
Anyway, anyway, this is that song
It's called, "When I See You"

One, two, three, four

When I see you
You smile so sweetly
And if I lost you
It would defeat me

There are words
But we're much too shy
To ask each other words
How are you?
What have we been through?
Is this deja vu?

Drinking coffee, we were talking
You're looking like a summer's morning
Admittedly, it seems we're falling
Intoxicated without warning

When I see you
When I see you
When I see you
When I see you

When I see you
You keep me guessing
Are you still dreaming?
But I'm digressing

If you notice
A sudden change in me
It brings back melodies

Would you know then
If there's a song to sing
I have some memories

Drinking coffee, and we were talking
You're looking like a summer's morning
Did I just notice you were yawning?
I hope you don't find me too boring

When I see you
When I see you
When I see you
When I see you

When I see you
When I see you
When I see you
When I see you

When I see you
When I see you
When I see you
When I see you

When I see you
When I see you
When I see you
When I see you

When I see you
When I see you
When I see you
When I see you

When I see you
When I see you
When I see you
When I see you

(When I see you)
(When I see you)
(When I see you)
(When I see you)

(When I see you)
(When I see you)
(When I see you)
(When I see you)
