Curtain Call

The Crowd is gone
The seats are empty, and the hall turned to fog
My mind turned blank
I took a wrong turn, and I just sank

Fake smiles turn in stereo
Something tells me I shouldn't go
Turn back, before, I'm gone

I'll hide my thumbs
Keep them safe, a place where we don't have to escape
You'll drown me out
You won't take me to the ball, this is my final curtain call

Disassociated, flowers from the void
A snap from the present sends me speeding down the road
I promise I'll be fine, I'll make it home safe
I'll hold you one more time, but we won't be in the same place

Lights hit my face, I swear things will be okay
Say it one more time, just to be safe

I'll hide my thumbs
I'll keep them safe, a place where we won't have to escape
I'll drown me out
You won't take me to the ball, this is my final curtain call
