My Story
Been through some things
I never thought would happen
That if I told you everything
You would think that I'm acting
Had so much hit me at once
Like oncoming traffic
I promise you I could've folded
Like a folded napkin
I've had my friends turn to my enemies
And those I loved, and those I trusted
Turn their back on me
And looked aside and turn their eyes
When I was struggling
And wished the worst when I was hurt
And in desperate need
Life's never been easy
Had to find a way on my own
It was like no one could see me
Had to walk life all alone
What do you do when it's only you
And there's no helping hand
What do you do when life's what you choose
But death is the devils' plan
See I never thought that I could make it
Cause all the pain and all the aching
Life was too real for me to tale it
And that's an understatement
They say life is what you make it
But in my situation
My enemy wasn't only me
My biggest opposition was Satan
I could've been dead
I could've been gone
I could've been out of view
I could've been lost
With no second thought
If I didn't see the truth
If not for my God helping me see
I wouldn't know what to do
If not for my God being with me
I wouldn't have made it through

The second part of my story
Is where the devil tried to destroy me
But a standard raised up against him
Only God gets all the glory
He wanted to see me suffering
And without no hope
He tried to succeed in bringing defeat
And he came real close
He tried to attack my life and my purpose
Tried to tell me that I was worthless
And that living life wasn't worth it
And this God stuff wasn't working
Why not give up
Life is too rough
You've been through too much
Life is too hard
And you're not that tough
Haven't you had enough
He sought my life and tried to end it
Tried to push me to my limits
Tried to stop the work God started in my life
And bring it to an ending
But right before he could finish
God stepped in and defended
He lifted me and helped me see
That His plans were different
He exposed the enemy's lies
Removed the scales from my eyes
Then He cleaned me up inside
And He renewed my mind
He showed me who I am
And that He helped me stand
He showed me that He never left
And always held my hand
