The Robin and the Thief

Mother was a singer and daddy was a thief
It's a sort of funny story really the way they both would meet
On a quiet night like this one with the starts hanging low
She was fixing her up for the show

Daddy had it figured out
He sure did have a plan
Been through it in his head a million times and more
This was the perfect heist
He grabbed the things he needed
Went out the kitchen door
To never go back anymore

Never go back anymore
(This was his final steal)
The boat was prepared at the shore
(Then he would leave this place for good)
A voice coming out of the door
(As he passed the pub)
He found what was missing before
He felt her voice and a sudden relief
There began the story of the Robin and the thief
