Reminiscing Rainbows

Reminiscing rainbows
Missing the vibrance, the colors
When the Sun and the rain flow
They combine and compliment each other
Giving us beautiful hues
Reminding us of promises
Wishing we could rewind our youth
To the beginning, back to Genesis

The rainbow's not a symbol of pride, but of promise
In a world full of sin, need the spirit to fall on us
Wishing I was still a kid, missing the colors and the vibrance
Losing that childlike faith that I had, if I'm being honest
But at the end of a rainbow, I will find the gold
One day I'll be past the clouds 'cause Heaven is my home
Don't need the coins at the end 'cause I'll see the gates and I'll know
That I made it, and so it's to His promises I'll hold
I'll hold on to His words, knowing He holds the world
Holds me in His hands, it's for Him that my heart yearns
I have a testimony because He tested me and I learned
Rainbows only happen when the Sun (Son) shines through the storm
So here I am, tryna bring back the rainbows I saw when I was young
Feels like I don't see them anymore, I just soak up in the mud
But I don't want to live like that, no, not anymore
God, show me how to praise you through the storm

Reminiscing rainbows
Missing the vibrance, the colors
When the Sun and the rain flow
They combine and compliment each other
Giving us beautiful hues
Reminding us of promises
Wishing we could rewind our youth
To the beginning, like to Genesis

Rummaging the clouds
Better yet, staring at their beauty
The God that made me made them
Another reminder coming to me
God made man and called His creation good
We fell to temptation, though, and needed saving
So God sent His son, a sacrifice, to make us full
Then He left the tomb so that my soul will never be vacant
