Soirée

There's definitely gonna be a vibrant out-coming and out-call
To all musicians, all poets, all who like creative energy
To come forth and be a part of this network

So I pulled up to the soirée
Someone had left the door wide open
I said what's up, hello, hey
I felt like there was something missing
I only came to see the final act
But I found out he wasn't even there
Did he bail, or get lost or attacked
No one could figure out what or where

You are gone
But now you can
Live on

Always, always commune with nature
I wish, I wish I could have been there
It's been, it's been a million minutes
Not here in body, but in spirit

He was about to get it together
He tried it out way too early
After he left he was gone forever
All we have left is the memory
We all get lost somewhere in our lives
All the lanterns float up to the moon
We never had the chance to say goodbye
Through the drums he lives on in this tune

You are gone
But now you can
Live on

Always, always commune with nature
I wish, I wish I could have been there
It's been, it's been a million minutes
Not here in body, but in spirit
Ooh
Ooh
