Moksa

The everyday routine, busiest people we are
The roles we play individuals working hard
The fake smiles and authentic lies
To plan our regrets we take the time
Guilt filled unconscious where's the outlet?
Sleepless nights under the stars twinkling
Day starts dying right from the outset
No guns, grenades this war's of conscience
The empty air, the heavy wind
Machines that talk, the human beings
The ones we love, the ones we hate
Why often end up being the same?
The silent voice the boastful ignorance
No role confusion playing to the script
I close my eyes and open tell me then
How you'll not lie when I see darkness friend?
Morality of good, necessity of bad
The incomplete whole driving us mad
The violence tongue and the soft touch
That feeling when you're feeling this is too much
The lies you believed and honesty ignored
Questions unanswered too tired to ask
The mask you wear and the mask you are given
The stage of your play, the stage you have created
Numb our pain with smoke and liquid pouring within
no one told us to be no different
No one helped us to speak our mind
No one asked us to speak out, just be fine
Your past is a truth, but not your identity
Trials and tribulations all of the travesties
Pushing the days, pulling your body
Doesn't have to be this way can we write a different story?
Can you write a different story?

And I gradually realize that if life really has to have a meaning
And if suffering is inevitable
Then liberation doesn't mean liberating myself
It also means liberating myself from the suffering of others
